GAL BULKA
THE EXPECTED OF THE UNEXPECTED
This installation is an invitation for an intimate moment with nature, in which the spectator, is encouraged to interact and influence it.
Following the philosophy of La Prairie, this gesture will lead to new insights about the duality of the relationship between man and nature, celebrating its vitality and beauty while demonstrating a deep respect for it.
PAULA CHACARTEGUI
EVERLASTING
It is this magic that got my attention, the feature of change, movement, of seeing and not being able to see. It happens in the Swiss landscapes, when fog is created, when it rains, snows or mountains blend and separate from each other. The magic of La Prairie is also willing to make a change in your life, to make disappear what appeared, freezing this precise moment timelessly. The water flow goes slowly up and down, allowing you to see or not see, being conscious of the most precious source of all: Time.
CHIA-LING CHANG
DROP
From the magnificent peaks to vast surfaces of lakes, from the continuous ridges to deep snow covering upon, there has long been the precious natural resources - among stone and water -surrounding Switzerland. In honour of Swissness - Drop is a minimal sculpture exploring the unpredictable journey of water - how it rolls, divides, merges and morphs into mobile shapes - as if the melting snow trickles through the valley, pours into the rivers and finally reaches the lake.

FUSION
Glass is a material that plays with light and transparency, colour and texture, movement and space. A material that stands the test of time, combining the purest tradition with the most daring modernity.
The sculpture revisits the image of the infinite, it represents a frozen instant, a movement of water captured in time, something that lasts forever.
FERNANDO RIVERO
ETERNAL GLANCE
Switzerland is deeply associated with majestic mountains, blue skies, and infinite countryside. But it also means precision, technology, vanguard, culture, and contemporary living. It is the moment where these two worlds collide are represented in Eternal Glance.
Through the use of exact cast of a Vals rock in aluminum, the material is transformed into a work of art that capture the collision of two worlds. collide that I am very interested in capturing.
CHARLOTTE THERRE
GLIMMER
The main inspiration comes from the ray of light that hits a reflective surface and catches your eye and attention. It is a kinetic sculpture inspired by Bauhaus with a modern twist. Nature holds its beauty in its mysterious ways of being, as if it is keeping hidden secrets of perfection.
Metal is the perfect expression of timelessness. Glimmer replicates a hint of this mysterious beauty, with some invisible mechanisms which are here to create some unexpected glimmers.
For this collaboration, the students were invited to design a piece that expresses the brand’s vision of Swissness – the purity, precision and timelessness inherent to the land of the house’s origins. They were first immersed into the beauty of Switzerland during a visit of iconic natural and cultural Swiss landmarks. While travelling to Montreux, La Prairie’s place of origin, the students had the unique opportunity to experience La Prairie’s Swiss vision of beauty. The six students and their work have been featured in a week-long online Instagram exhibition in January 2021 hosted on La Prairie's page. The winning student receives a grant from La Prairie to use towards launching their design career. The winning piece is selected by two parties: a jury composed of design experts from ECAL and La Prairie and, in a first for the house, a call for votes from the public.
