A CONTINUOUS JOURNEY THROUGH TIME

Carla Chan's story with La Prairie began on majestic Swiss summits illuminated by the dancing rays of the golden hour. She pursues her enriching collaboration with the Swiss luxury house in the meditative darkness at the dawn of radiance.

The result of a second residency in Switzerland with La Prairie, Fading Space of Dawn is a media art exhibition that embodies the unseen transformation in nature through dramatised digital representations. With augmented reality as well as large-scale video installations, Carla Chan’s new series of works blends physical and digital materials together into a hybrid form of an immersive virtual landscape. The fusion of digital apparatus in the artworks signifies the otherwise overlooked phenomena in natural formations by manipulating our perception of time, through which the exhibition offers new perspectives on our relationship with nature.

La Prairie’s collaboration with Carla Chan will be revealed at Frieze New-York, followed by a presentation at Art Basel Hong Kong.
