THE STORY OF LA PRAIRIE BEGAN ON THE PRISTINE SHORES OF SWITZERLAND’S LAC LEMAN AT CLINIQUE LA PRAIRIE.
Clinique La Prairie first opened its doors in 1931. Its aim was to combine pioneering science, rejuvenation and vitality under the scientific leadership of Dr Paul Niehans. Clinique La Prairie was originally housed in a refurbished manor, mentioned as far back as the sixteenth century in the communal archives of Montreux. A haven of peace and tranquillity, the clinic is located on the Swiss Riviera overlooking Lac Leman and the Swiss Alps.
Visiting in the strictest confidence and secrecy, world leaders and artists such as Charles de Gaulle, Emperor Hirohito, members of the British Royal Family, Sir Winston Churchill, Marlene Dietrich, Greta Garbo, Marilyn Monroe, Pablo Picasso and Georges Braque all spent time here.
1931 PAUL NIEHANS: UNLOCK OF THE SECRET OF ETERNAL YOUTH, THE SECRET OF LONGEVITY.
A grandson of Emperor Frederick III of Germany, Doctor Paul Niehans was born in Bern in 1882. The son of a surgeon, Dr Niehans followed in his father’s footsteps, studying medicine.
As a field doctor in World War I, he gained extensive clinical experience.
By 1931 he had become a well-known expert in rejuvenation and was working as the head doctor at Clinique La Prairie in Montreux.
That year, he treated a woman who experts agreed would not survive her illness. Convinced that cellular replacement would be beneficial, he administered the groundbreaking treatment.
She recovered and lived a full life, brimming with vitality, for another 40 years. Encouraged by the success of this treatment, Dr Niehans returned to Clinique La Prairie, where he began his work administering the innovative Cellular Therapy to his clients. Over the years, more than 5000 patients will benefit from the Doctor’s treatments, and his reputation starts to grow.
